Section 179 Helps You Grow Your Business
Essentially, Section 179 of the IRS tax code allows businesses to deduct the full purchase price of qualifying equipment and/or software purchased or financed during the tax year. That means if you buy (or lease) a piece of qualifying equipment, you can deduct the FULL PURCHASE PRICE from your gross income. The U.S. government created this incentive to encourage businesses to buy equipment and invest in themselves.
Susquehanna Automotive has been enrolled with COSTARS, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s cooperative purchasing program, since 2017 to help municipalities, school districts, and other local public procurement units purchase commercial vehicles at pre-negotiated, competitive pricing. COSTARS streamlines the buying process by eliminating the need for individual bid solicitations, allowing for faster, simpler, and more efficient vehicle procurement.
